Wednesday 14th January Midweek Special Our 2015 motto text talks about “one blessing after another”. That idea reminded me of Psalm 103, which stacks up the blessings which, God, gives us. In order to unpack this rich pile of gifts we need to stir ourselves up and shake off our listlessness and amnesia. Do you remember the moment on Christmas Day when an awestruck child is surrounded by wrapping paper, boxes and presents? The child is not sure what to play with first; it is all a bit too much to take in. Do you ever find yourself filled with wonder at how much God loves you; do you ever have a moment to allow the crashing waves of God’s love to wash over you and refresh your heart? “Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits”. (Psalm 103:1-2)
