Wednesday 29th May, 2013, Grenada Coalition of Services Industries Inc. held its Inaugural General Meeting. In attendance were persons representing various Associations from the services sector, from the ICT and Architects to the Entertainment, Fashion and Health and Wellness sectors, to name a few. At this meeting the government representative, Senator Simon Steill, highlighted how important the services sector is for the future growth of the economy and the importance of the roles we all have to play in this collaborative effort, which ties in with the theme of the meeting “Services – The Engine to Economic Development”. The message from the Secretariat was that of Sustainability and Capacity Building to ensure that the objectives are achieved in full, with a brief history into the establishment of GCSI and the Secretariat and what has been accomplished in the two (2) years of operations. The voting for the Board of Directors of GCSI was carried out, seeing the following persons being elected, subsequent meeting two(2) week after saw the election of the executives of the board, the list below shows the completed current Board of Directors of GCSI. Executive positions (Chairman, Deputy Chair, Secretary & Treasurer) being held for two(2) years, all others for one (1) year: Ms. Isha Antoine-Andrews Mr. Jude Bernard (Deputy Chair) Mr. Trevor Bullen Mr. Christian ChuFook Mr. Kendal DuBois (Treasurer) Ms. Neila Ettienne Ms. Sandra James (Secretary) Ms. Isabelle Slinger Ms. Michelle Slinger (Chairman) Ms. Michelle Slinger is an Architect. Owner/Director of AXYL Designs. Mr. Jude Bernard is a business Consultant, Owner/Director of Jude Bernard Consultants Ms. Sandra James is a Business Consultant, Owner/Director of Anchura Consulting Mr. Kendal DuBois is an Entrepreneur, Owner/Director of IMA (International Modelling Agency – Grenada) and Accounts manager at LIME Grenada. All have been practicing in their trade for over ten years and are part of Associations that are members of GCSI.
