May 30 is Inclement Day #4 and will be added to the student attendance calendar to make up for missing yesterday, March 3. Friday May 30 will be the final day of the 13-14 school year provided that we do not have to miss any more school. BMI and Scoliosis screening for all 8 th grade will be Wednesday, March 12th. Attention all 9th grade girls who plan on trying out for the high school dance team: there are packets as well as a sign up sheet in the office. Forms must be turned into Coach Groves or the JH office by March 20. If you do not have a current physical, you must have one by March 20. New Horizons is collecting used shoes as a Community Service Project. There is a box in the hall near the Library entrance to donate shoes. The date of the Junior High Spring Dance is March 15. Our Junior High Spring Dance is ONLY for Lake Hamilton Junior High Students. You may NOT bring students from ANY other school, including the High School or Middle School. Only Lake Hamilton Junior High School students are eligible to attend LHJH dances. Parents are always invited to attend. Dances will be scheduled from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Students who have been assigned 6 or more days ISS or any days of OSS; at any time prior to the date of the next dance will not be allowed to attend the upcoming dance. Parents will be expected to pick up their son/daughter at the conclusion of the dance. Students who have not been picked up within 20 minutes of the conclusion of a dance will not be allowed to attend the next dance. Students are expected to be on their best behavior at extra-curricular activities. Any student causing a behavior problem at a dance will be suspended from attending extracurricular activities for the remainder of the semester and, depending on the severity of the problem, may be prohibited from attending extra-curricular activities for the remainder of the year. Students requesting a Driver’s Letter must follow the following procedure: Come into to office and pick up form and fill out. Turn form into office Monday-Wednesday of the week you would like the letter Forms will be processed and returned to you on Friday. These are only done once a week. Do not ask for yours to be done earlier. EVERYONE wants their letter right now! You will be given the paperwork that you need to take to the Arkansas State Police. Your paperwork will be good for 30 days after you receive it. If it expires, you will have to resubmit your request again.
