Wee update re road safety at Beancross motorway. As you - TopicsExpress

Wee update re road safety at Beancross motorway. As you probably know a sign was put up in Rannoch Park. Officers are still looking at ways to make a safer/clearer pathway for walkers in that area. A bridge has been looked at however it would need to span the 2 roads and would take up a lot of ground to make it disabled friendly. It would cost around 1 to 1.5 million. The council alone could not fund this and the sheer size it would need to be would probably rule it out. As part of the TIF bid this area had always been prioritised to make the walkways safer, so officers are still looking at how that most effectively could be done. Transport Scotland are still considering how to make their fencing etc safer, officers are waiting till after 21st June before getting back in touch. I hope to have a meeting with Transport Scotland in the near future.
