Week 12: From One Maines to Another Well boys, its down to the wire as always. After a crazy week 11, theres 2 games left before the playoffs begin. As of this moment, we have 4 teams who have clinched a playoff berth: Cam, Ryan, Willie and Tay. None of the division titles are locked up as of yet and neither are the last playoff spot in each division. In a show of futility in the Sam Adams division, Teddy, Drew and Moof are all essentially tied for the last playoff spot with losing records, though Moof is technically a half game ahead thanks to his tie. Over in the Natty Ice division, Tos clings to a half game lead over Fresh. Eddie, I regret to inform you that you have officially been eliminated from post-season contention. You gave it your best shot but not even some one as amazing at fantasy as me could have turned their season around with that wet blanket of a team you inherited from that traitorous skank Mo. Speaking of wet blankets, Id like to take a brief moment here and talk about a Maines brother, but shockingly its not Teddy! I know I give Teddy a ton of grief about how bad he is (most of the time its well warranted) but somehow I keep overlooking good ole Drewphis. Thanks to his recent 4 game skid, hes on the verge of missing the playoffs yet again, despite having the first overall pick this year... and last year... and possibly the year before as well. Hes only had one season with a winning record and his career win percentage is 3rd worst among active managers. Despite having all those draft picks this year somehow things just havent panned out for him. His roster isnt that bad, but a closer look behind the numbers reveals some bad scheduling luck, as he has the most points against and its not even close (his points for is middle of the pack so its not like hes a powerhouse team anyways). In any event, it is possible for him to still make the playoffs for the third time ever. Its also possible for Teddy to make his second ever appearance. But theres only room for one Maines or a Moose, whos it gonna be??? Now your week 12 power ranks! 1. Darrells Subs- One more win will clinch that coveted first round bye. 2. Booklynn C- Willie makes it 3 years in a row with a playoff berth. 3. Bout That Action- Clinched a playoff spot in his rookie season. Well see how far he can go. 4. Spice Girls- In the playoffs and can still clinch a first round bye if he wins more games than Willie in the next two weeks. 5. Titans of Tos- Its been a roller coaster first year back but he should make the playoffs over Fresh with the help of his trade deadline acquisition of AP... oh wait... 6. Krazy Kripples- Moof phoned it in a while ago but he owns the third and final playoff spot as of this moment. 7. Freshman Fifteen- From title to missing the playoffs. Only a great manger pulls off that feat. 8. Da Bear Hunters- Win out and you may have a shot. 9. Bears Faces- Even winning out may not be enough to T-bear to make it in. 10. Eddie Moneyshots- Nowd be a good time to start prepping for next season or work on your golf game.
