Week 2 Recap… There are things that happen throughout a Fantasy season that can just make you angry. Some are your fault, others are listening to idiots try and get the scoop that just messes with your team, and others are when you have a big lead and an easy win and then some jackball goes crazy and scores 50 points more than he should. When one of these happen to you during a week that cause you to lose your game it’s infuriating. Hopefully they don’t occur too many times during the season, but when they do they can ruin a weekend. Then there is the trifecta… You need ALL THREE to happen in order to lose a game, and if that happens… FURY!!! It was a week from hell for the NFL. Ray Rice, AP, injuries… it was terrible for the league. But more importantly… it was a week from hell for my fantasy team!! Let’s start with Friday, news first comes out that AP has been indicted. Then he gets deactivated leaving me scrambling for a player. I don’t WANT to pay for Asiata, but I have no other options because my players are injured and I have weak RB depth issues. So I over pay for Asiata, but it actually works out for me as he scores a TD and gets some yards. So stress, but at least it paid off… kind of… the whole AP thing just infuriated me… freaking AP. Now let’s fast forward to Sunday morning… I’m staying up in Layton, I’ve been working on a house but have it setup so I can set my lineup without any issues… I look at my lineup and guess what… freaking Brandon Marshall is questionable… so I looked online to find some information and see… ESPN reporter Adam Schefter said it was HIGHLY unlikely he plays (according to sources)… aka he happened to be playing against him in his league and so he wanted his opponent to bench him. WHAT SOURCES – the ‘I’m playing against Marshall in my fantasy league’ source? I’m convinced this is why we get false information from so called ‘experts’ they want to win their individual games so they trick the rest of us into benching our players… EFF YOU SCHEFTER I’M ON TO YOU!!! So I stick Marshall on my bench and put in a sub in Cunningham… This where I get stupid… I sit through the first set of games pretty satisfied with my team’s play. But I look at the Cunningham position and think, Jones probably will do better, I should switch them. So I do. I put Jones in and close my app… that’s right I forgot to save my stupid lineup… I just switched them but didn’t set it… the second set of games start and I realize my mistake. I’m not worried though because I have such a large lead that even if Cunningham gets a goose egg I’ll still win… Then the freaking play happened. Jordy Nelson, 80 yards for a touchdown… that’s 16 points… SIXTEEN POINTS IN ONE PLAY!!! I lose by 9… Now had I not been lied to and tricked by Adam Schefter, my stud wide receiver would have won me the game… catching 3 TDs, but NO I listened to Schefter and lost! I’m sitting there watching the Sunday night game as Kaepernick throws the game to Chicago (literally) and Marshall scores his points… just getting more furious with every catch. Let’s recap… 1) I lose my best player cause he spanked his kid with a tree branch 2) I set my lineup but forgot to save it 3) Jordy Nelson goes crazy on me 4) Marshall scores THREE TOUCHDOWNS after some ‘expert’ tells me to bench him… I’m an idiot… it literally took everything for me to lose my game. Anyone of those doesn’t happen and I win the game… but ALL THREE happened to me in one week, and now I’m 0-2… angry and feeling like a moron. EFF YOU ADAM SCHEFTER!!! Recaps Tyler vs Pooky We don’t really need to get into it. Tyler should have lost but I was an idiot and had my personal week from hell… let’s move on. KayCee vs Jeffrey Well isn’t KayCee proud of himself (I think we can all hear him patting himself on the back still). Murray Sproles and Cobb… that’s 65 points right there… throw in the Cardinals at 21 (I predicted 22 for them FYI) and it’s an easy win for KayCee… top scorer again this week. Jeffrey did have a good play in Delanie Walker, Newton did what he should and Bryant showed he’s good. I went with emotion over logic in my prediction here and I lost because of it. Gronk still hasn’t shown up and Wayne didn’t do much but KayCee’s team is looking good and Jeffrey’s team is not. Jeffrey didn’t have a chance. Malko vs Clinton You should have seen and heard the profanities come out of Clinton’s mouth as soon as Bennett scored his TD. He was irate because he benched his players that should have won him the game. He tried to claim he was duped… but leaving 77 points on your bench hurts… especially when you only needed .4 points to win… that’s 4 yards of offense… that’s all. Drew Brees has been bad and overall Clinton’s starters were terrible other than the Texans, Tucker and Lynch… but hey at least you lost to a team that got 0 points from two of their players… well done Clinton well done. Second worse loss of the week… shame shame Lucas vs Tim Why would I ever pick Lucas to win? WHY? I don’t know… his team is terrible… Kaepernick isn’t good, Charles isn’t playing well and Harvin is the only decent player he has. 51 points… that’s almost 1/3 of KayCee… Tim had this locked up early. When you win a game and your second best player gets injured in the first series, you know you have an easy week. Tim got his Lucas Bye win and is happy to have it. Lucas you let me down, your team is terrible, you should probably do something to make it better. Tim… you left some points on your bench but I said your bench was good so at least I feel good about that... Dwayne vs Paul Lowest scoring winner in Dwayne… well done sir. I picked a higher scoring game… but didn’t get that right. My favorite play here is Paul deciding to play RYAN FITZPATRICK over Jay Cutler…. A choice that literally lost him the game… Paul… WHY? 49ers D/ST has shown they aren’t as good unless they have the ball thrown right to them. Cutler scored 25 points… he’s a good QB… Fitzpatrick scored 13… he’s a bad QB… go with the good QB and you win… Paul loses to a team that has a -1, and a 0 on the score card… oops the ‘Champion’ tried to outsmart himself and lost the game because of it. Nul vs AyAy-ron Wasn’t the lowest scoring game but it wasn’t great either. It is a lot of fun though to have game go down to the wire Monday night. Nul need Maclin to score more points… needing a touchdown to win it in the end, and Maclin came through - not bad. AyAy-ron made some bad decisions… he paid for his two studs and they performed well this week… but how do you play Gerhart over Spiller? Gerhard (and his team) aren’t good… That cost you the game… but really HOW DO YOU PLAY ALLEN HURNS. Yes he scored last week… it was a fluke… if you play the player you should have (Decker) you win the game… that’s two players you could have played over terrible Jacksonville players and you would have won… Once again Nul picked the wrong QB to play (will happen a lot I think ☺ )but apparently playing the Patriots D/st was the right choice as their 29 points got Nul the victiory… Final picks record this week… ESPN 2-4, Pooky 2-4 I’m 6-6 on the year and ESPN is 4-8… at least I’m .500… take that ESPN… and oh yeah EFF YOU ADAM SCHEFTER!!!!
