Week 52: Meal Idea: Ranch Pinwheels: With the year winding down - TopicsExpress

Week 52: Meal Idea: Ranch Pinwheels: With the year winding down so quickly, having an easy to make appetizer on hand is essential. Ranch pinwheels are extremely easy and very tasty. 6 flour tortillas (fajita sized) 1 package of Hidden Valley ranch seasoning (or 2 if you love ranch, I of course used two) 2 cups finely chopped fajita vegetables (all colors bell peppers and onions) 2 cups shredded cheese (you can play with the flavors of cheese here, but I like sharp cheddar and jalapeno) 1 box of Philadelphia Cream Cheese softened In a mixer, combine the cheeses, veggies, and ranch. Mix on low for about two minutes, until fully incorporated together. Spread the mixture evenly on the tortillas. Roll them up and place them stem side down on a big plate. Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Then slice the tortillas into six bite sized pieces. These are great for an afternoon of fellowship. Enjoy! SO GOOD!~ Bible Verse/Lesson: Matthew 6:9-13: ‘Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. The Lords prayer is commonly known in all religious backgrounds. This prayer is profound in its simplicity. It is our prayer to simply ask God to provide us our needs and help us to walk His path and not our own. When you go into 2015 ask God for wisdom and courage, we all need Him. This coming year is about having a relationship with Christ, not a creed, not judgement of others, not even self, but rather centering yourself with Christ. Go and be Christ like to all, not just some, but ALL! God Bless Yall! Be Blessed. What a Blessing!~ Organization Tips: Workout Gear: Time for New Years resolutions. Time to prep for being healthier in 2015. Time to stop dreading exercise and embracing it. Baby steps. Remember that those baby steps will lead you to large leaps. Start with organizing your workout attire. Find what works for you and stick with it. I prefer short socks when working out, so I know that I need to find several short socks. I prefer three sports bras, so I need to have several of those. But I dont need twenty sets if they are the wrong size, worn out, etc. Shoes are another big thing. Are you going to do more cardio or more strength training? They actually have different shoes for those different styles and they even go further: walking vs. running shoes, etc. Make this last week count towards your next year goals. FREE SPACE! It is a freeing experience!~ Exercise Idea: Be Active: Be active this week. Do something you love. You can do side bends or sit-ups. Run three miles. Go walk the nature park. Play a game of pick-me-up basketball. Take the dogs for an adventure. Grab a football and go play tackle. Whatever you do, dont just sit on your rump this week. Saying, ah I will start next week will only lead you away from an active healthy life. Be active for your own longevity. Have fun! When you enjoy the work you do, you also enjoy the results more!! So fun!~ Outdoor Activities: Front Porch: Most take this week to reflect on the previous year and look ahead to the coming year. Why not grab a blanket, some hot cocoa (coffee, tea, water, your beverage choice) and a mate and sit on the front porch. Your home is your domain. I make it a point to enjoy our front porch, and my wish for you is that same peace. Be creative and stay positive! Get outside and have a blast! Dont forget to break out that sunscreen too! Stay active!~ Wow. 52 weeks have passed since I started this little cheerful blog. Thank Yall for sticking with it. Next year is crunch time for recipes, so be expecting more and feel free to give me your favorites. I pray that even just one of you took something positive from this adventure! . Stay Blessed Yall!!~
