Week Four at the Old Broadford Paper Mill. As you can see, I - TopicsExpress

Week Four at the Old Broadford Paper Mill. As you can see, I finally got my Orangutan up... and started on my Polar Bear. For those who are interested in knowing what paper I am using. Its a Visy waterproof recycled paper. I love this paper it has such a nice feel, and it is easy to fold and at the same time retain its soft smooth look... it is perfect for my animals. Last week, we had a bit of a challenge as the single ply paper was not rigid enough to hold the mass of the Orangutans head. And so, we had to wait for John at NPI to try glueing two sheets back to back to see if the paper would retain all the things I love about it. Operations Manager, John, and crew took two rolls, and glued a massive amount of two ply paper for me to try out... and lo and behold the Visy paper is retaining all that is great about the paper and its rigid!! That said, there are a couple sections on the Orangutan that I would like to try a three ply next week to give even more support to the animals... so I will ask John if he would glue three sheets together for us. If the three sheets glued together can retain its beauty and be easy to work with I will have my paper issues sorted for all the animals... fingers crossed.
