Week beginning 15th June 2014 TODAY’S NOTICES 1. CAN YOU HELP? We still need a few more helpers to take a turn leading this year’s Summer Sunday Club for 3-12 year olds. If you could help for just one (or two!) Sundays from Sunday 29th June to Sunday 17th August, please add your name to the sign-up sheets at the Traidcraft Stall after the service. 2. NOTICES for Sunday 22nd June should be given to Andy Grant please. Email address on back page. 3. LCYT GIFT AID FORMS: Following the visit of LCYT Schools Worker Mike Glass, a number of people asked about Gift Aid and Standing Order forms. You can collect them from the Vestibule Table or from the Traidcraft Stall after the service. 4. FALKIRK FOODBANK: Most needed items are: UHT and dried milk; cartons of juice (not needing kept cool); tinned vegetables, meat, fish and fruit; biscuits and snacks. The boxes are in the vestibule and at the door to the hall. 5. GIFT AID ENVELOPES are in the Vestibule or on the pews. Visitors wishing us to reclaim tax on donations made, please fill in your details on the envelope. NOTICES FOR THE COMING WEEK 6. CREAM TEAS: As part of the Deacons’ Court ‘Year of the Talents’ there will be Cream Teas on Saturday 21st June from 10am-12 noon in the Church Hall. A cream tea will be £2.50 per person, payable at the door. Please do support those who are using their talents baking! Donations for Cake and Candy and stalls would be very much appreciated. All proceeds to Church funds. 7. THE DISCUSSION GROUPS meet this week as follows: The Wednesday Group on 18th June at 2pm at 10 Carron Grove Carron The Thursday Group on 19th June at 575 Main Street Stenhousemuir Both groups will be discussing today’s sermon. ADVANCE NOTICES: 8. FLOWER CALENDAR FOR 22nd June: Janet Laurie, Janette Leask, Irene Laurie and Roberta Caldwell. 9. THE YOUNG CHURCH PRIZEGIVING AND CHURCH TRIP will be held on Sunday 22nd June. The trip, to Muiravonside Country Park, will be after the service. Members of the congregation are invited to come. We have organised a BBQ, so please bring along your lunch and it will be cooked for you! If you need a lift, we can also organise transport there and back. Please see any of the Young Church leaders for further details. 10. LARBERT EAST HOLIDAY CLUB for those presently in P1-6 will take place from Monday 30th June – Friday 4th July (the 1st week of the school holiday) from 10am-12.15pm in the Church Halls. LCYT Schools Worker Mike Glass will be leading the fun as we consider being ‘Fit for a King’, the SU Commonwealth Games theme. You can register on the day, or beforehand by contacting Senga Smith or through the church website (below). NEXT SUNDAY’S SERVICE - YOUNG CHURCH PRIZEGIVING Next Sunday the Morning Service at 10.30am will be the Young Church Prizegiving Family Service led by Melville with the Young Church taking part. We’ll continue the theme, ‘Light for Life’. The Young Church will meet as usual (see Regular Notices on our webpage larberteastchurch/www/index.php/parish-news). There will be tea/coffee after the service when the Traidcraft Stall will also be available. Please join us in worship next Sunday.
