Week two, day something... Ive lost count. -The routine is getting more routine, for the kids and me both. I actually remember where Im supposed to be and what Im supposed to be teaching most of the time ;) -5:30 is early but the clock hasnt gone off yet! -Some of these 7th graders have a long way to go before they are ready for high school but they dont have me convinced they are hopeless like I think some of them would like. Ive got news for them: I dont give up on kids easily. -A bucket full of cucumbers and a bucket full of tomatoes await my attention tomorrow afternoon. Salsa and dills are on the agenda. -Im grateful that this heat and humidity is leaving. 70s and humid plus middle school sweat is just not pleasant. Im looking forward to cool crisp nights again and highs in the 50s. -middle school boys rock! I had a crew haul thousands of books upstairs to the old middle school today, trip after miserable sweaty trip, not one complaint! -Im grateful for opportunities afforded me to reach out and help other teachers across the state. Very excited about new opportunities on the horizon! -
