Friday through Monday (June 20 - 23) PHOENIX — Freeway-improvement projects will require closures or lane restrictions in the Phoenix area this weekend (June 20-23). The Arizona Department of Transportation recommends drivers plan ahead, allow extra travel time and use alternate routes while the following freeway restrictions are in place: Eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closed overnight between Power and Elliot roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday (June 21) for freeway lane striping work. Hawes Road also closed between Loop 202 and Ray Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday. DETOUR: Consider alternate routes, including Power Road to eastbound Elliot or Ray roads to travel beyond closure. Westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closed between Elliot and Power roads from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (June 21) for freeway lane striping work. DETOUR: Consider using westbound Elliot Road to southbound Power Road to travel beyond closure. State Route 24 (Gateway Freeway) closed in both directions between Loop 202 and Ellsworth Road from 9 p.m. Saturday to 2 p.m. Sunday(June 22) for freeway lane striping work. DETOUR: Consider using alternate routes, including Power and Ray roads or Ellsworth and Elliot roads. Westbound I-10 ramp to eastbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) in Tempe closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (June 21) for overhead sign work. Eastbound US 60 on-ramp and westbound off-ramp at Priest Drive also closed. DETOUR: Westbound I-10 traffic can use eastbound Baseline Road to northbound Mill Avenue to access eastbound US 60. Southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) narrowed to one lane overnight between Baseline and Elliot roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (June 21) for overhead sign work. Southbound Loop 101 on-ramp at Guadalupe Road also closed. DETOUR: Please be prepared to slow down and merge safely in work zone. Southbound Loop 303/Cotton Lane closed between Camelback and McDowell roads in Goodyear from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday (June 21) for paving and bridge work. DETOUR: Consider using southbound Citrus Road as alternate route. Sarival Avenue closed in both directions between Interstate 10 and McDowell Road in Goodyear from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Sunday (June 22) for bridge work. Eastbound I-10 on-ramp at Sarival Avenue will be open for use by northbound traffic. DETOUR: Consider using Estrella Parkway as alternate route.
