Weekend wrap for TEAM BAR and Junior ACKO Racing @ Port Macquarie 2014: Well a great time was had by the team at a great venue around 5 hrs north of Sydney. For the junior boat in the J3-15hp class, only Zac raced this weekend as Michaella wanted to help in the F2 boats debut. Zac still only in his 2nd meet in this boat drove to the limits both Saturday & Sunday with great results and finishing the weekend off with a 5th place in the Andrew Page Memorial Race. Zac still not 13 years old is showing plenty of potential & is loving the racing experience & great friendships with fellow racers. Bretts 1st outing in the F2 GranPrix was more a test weekend then a race weekend and yes it was needed. Battery problems knocked him out of qualifying, propellers were in short demand for the very short course and as it turned out excess fuel pressure was the cause for all round poor speed and performance. All else aside Brett is very impressed with the set up of the boat including its cornering and dock start capabilities. 7th out of 10 boats was our result over the 3 races and we are looking forward to returning to the full series next year.
