Weekly updates/reminders: * GHS Football tonight @ 7PM in Frontenac. GO BULLDOGS! * Tomorrow evening from 6 - 8PM is our monthly Friday Night Lights (yes, on Saturday). We have a band from Avilla coming to entertain us for the evening, so please plan to come! Vendors are encouraged to set up as usual, just please dont start until after 5PM (please let me know ahead of time). * Sunday evening the Galena Nursing Center is hosting a movie in the parking lot! This event is free to the public, all they ask is for you to bring your own chairs and blankets! * Next Saturday, October 4th, is the 3rd annual Run Like A Girl 5K. Proceeds collected through the race and silent auction will go to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. If you dont/cant run, there are plenty more activities going on throughout the day to be a part of! Contact Caressa Russell Crotts or Karri Watkins for more info! *Softball tournament at MVP Fields (softball fields) next week. All proceeds will also go to the Run Like A Girl benefit for breast cancer. Contact Travis Noel for further info! * October 10th is Football Homecoming in Galena! The HS parade will be on Thursday afternoon (October 9th) due to school being out on Friday! ALL businesses in town are encouraged to decorate their buildings to show their Bulldog Pride!! If you would like assistance with that, please let myself or Nancy Bryant know! * The annual GEF homecoming golf tournament is set for Saturday, October 11th. If you dont have your team signed up, theres still time! For more information, call the Board Office or contact myself, Brian Smith, Steve Hall, Amy Cramer, Don E Price, Douglas Steele, Chet Frazier or Mike Shaw. * City Wide Rummage Sale - October 11th. Permits can be purchased at City Hall. In order to be listed on the map, permits must be obtained by noon on Thursday, October 9th. * Holiday Homes Tour coming soon! Mark your calendars for the weekend before Thanksgiving! There is always sooooo much going on in our community!! Between our school activities, sporting events of all ages, church functions and everything in between, everyone should fit in somewhere! Im sure I left something out, so feel free to give me a hand!
