Welcome everyone to BlitzKrieg month Something so wrong...yet so right How many people have said that Porsche put the engine in the wrong end of the car...how many people laughed and said it would never work. Its ideas like this that make people scratch their heads and say why are those crazy germans doing that. Regular people only view things in one dimension they only see what others put in front of them. When the common person sees someone doing something cutting edge or even remotely different they consider you a crack pot. Albert Einstien was considered a crackpot for his ideas as many others. Porsches ideas were considered dangerous...even unsafe...but Ferdinand Porsche and his son Ferry were visonarys...they designed a sleek and clean design that was compact...like shrink wrapping the sheet metal around every surface. They picked a 180 degree flat 6 engine engine....a engine capable of great power and a balanced powerband. The engine sat low in the rear of the car lowering the center of gravity and increasing the oversteer characteristics of Porsches most Iconic car. Porsche has done what few other automakers can ever do...put an engine in the wrong position and make it work and not just work but work brilliantly . Everything from the iconic shape which has gradually changed over years to the many other models that Porsche created that prove that they can indeed build fantastic cars with the engine in any position. Life is a learning experience and no matter how many people felt that the 911s engine position was a complete failure...Porsche thought otherwise and has proven the pundits and other people who claim to have intelligence disquised as ignorance wrong....They have designed a groundbreaking car that few others can make. Porsche has proven that vision and determination can overcome failures and setbacks and the doubts of others who choose not to dream.. Ferdinand Porsche said himself I couldnt find a car I dreamed of so I decided to build my own. This is a philosophy that I follow ....a philosophy that blacklist has and follows Welcome to 50 years of a premier marque that I am so proud to highlight...one like others that we love so much have brought us together in our passion for cars
