Welcome new comers. Just in case some are wondering, no, I do not have a child with cancer. So why am I so involved? It took two kids on facebook battling cancer to get me to open my eyes. I knew kids could get cancer, but I think like most people, I wanted to look the other way and not think of it. But, it all changed when I stumbled upon Lane and Thomas J and saw how much underfunded childhood cancer is, and just how much their tiny lil bodies go through. These children should be out riding their bikes on the sidewalks, instead their riding them down the hallways of their hospitals. These kids should know the names of their friends, but instead they know the names of their treatments, doctors and nurses. Our children should be number one! but yet out of all cancers childhood cancer is last in line to be funded for more research. Just try to imagine if it was your child, I do, and I would want all kinds of people from all over to step up and be a voice for these kids. Im doing it for other children, for my son and for when my son has kids of his own.
