Welcome to ICS Textile Design Club! First Id like to introduce myself. I am Dennell Warthen and I have earned a Master of Science Degree from the Human Sciences Department of North Carolina Central University. I obtained my undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer sciences with a concentration in Textiles and Apparel. Throughout my undergraduate and professional coursework I completed over 25 credit hours in human growth and development centered courses. I also completed several hours relevant to curriculum and program planning. My most recent experience consists of self employment as a contract seamstress and apparel designer, a sewing instructor for Joann Fabrics and Crafts, and an annual sewing camp facilitator for the 4H Club at the Cooperative Extension of Durham. I also completed an internship as an apparel design instructor for NCCU, where I taught courses at an undergraduate level. I have been sewing and designing for over 25 years and have a passion for all creative art forms rooted in textiles. I look forward to exploring the world of textiles with your future designers!
