Welcome to Norway’s largest wrestling event 2013 Welcome to Norway’s largest wrestling event 2013 KOLBOTN IL’s Wrestling division has the great pleasure of inviting you to the largest wrestling event in Norway. The tournament is in the Greco-roman style for males and in Free style for fe- males according to FILA’s international and NBF/NIF’s (Norwegian) rules. In the UK18- and U18- classes it is permissible to have +1kg overweight. Team leaders must ensure that the participants have compulsory national licenses. FILA licenses are required for U18- and J23-classes. The Jon Rønningen Challenge for J23 Registration Final entry has to be registered at: [email protected] within 10. of November 2013. The fee is Kr. 200,- per participant. The teams are strongly encouraged to provide a referee. All activities take place in the Sofiemyrhallen, Holbergs vei 39, 1412 Sofiemyr in Kolbotn. Kolbotn is proud to present The Jon Rønningen Challenge to honor Kolbotn and Norway’s greatest athlete through all times. He is a member of FILA’s Hall of Fame since 2009. In 1985 he became a World Champion when Kolbotn hosted the World Championship. He’s a double Olympic Champion from Seoul in 1988 and Barcelona in 1992. He also won the European Championship in 1990. He won a Silver med- al in the World Championship in 1986, and a Bronze in 1991. In the European Championship hosted by Kolbotn in 1988, he won the Silver medal, in 1986 European Championship he won the Bronze.
