How Can I Love Him? God is the Alpha & Omega, the Beginning & the End, Our Creator, Our Savior, Our Eternity, Our Everything. The Great I AM! We know God to be: God-The Father, God-The Son, God-The Holy Spirit all united as ONE GOD, THE ONLY TRUE GOD! The Scriptures tells us in Deuteronomy 6:5-7: And thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them (Gods Word) diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them (Gods Word) when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. In other words, Gods Word, the Bible, the Scriptures, should be one of the most important things in a Christians life. So important that He even wants us to teach it to our children and to one another. It is something that God wants us to do all through out the day. Reading it, studying it, teaching it, and living it. He says in this verses, that if we love Him, we would meditate and study His Word, while we are sitting around the house, while we are walking in the streets, when we go to bed and even when we wake up. Basically, it should be as much a part of our lives, as everything else is in our lives. And actually, it needs to be more than that. It needs to have priority in our lives. This is the way we show God that we love Him, by studying His Word and following His commandments. If we love Him, we will not have a problem following Him. How can we love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy might? The Lord says, in John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. Who follows God? His sheep. And who is His sheep? We are. It also says that we hear His voice and follow Him. That means that when God speaks--We should listen and we should obey. If we obey Him and live a life that is pleasing to God and brings Honor to Him, then He will know that we truly love him and He will know us by our fruits and faithfulness to Him. During this 21 days of praying and fasting, we need to stay focused on the Purpose of our Fasting. Each of us have our own purpose and our own desires and our own goals. But as we know, the first thing we must do in order to begin this process right, is to start at the beginning and for us, everything begins with God. He is the Alpha, Our Father, the One and Only True God that has Created us, Forgiven us, Redeemed Us and is Waiting for Us. As we begin our Day #1 of this very special season with God, let us remember to put God first in our thoughts, in our prayers, in our actions and in this Fast. He should be our first purpose in this Fast. We should want to use this time to really get closer to God. If you are seeking to have a closer relationship with God, well it begins here and now. Begin to find ways to show God that you love him. Ask God what you can do to show His love to others. God said to love Him with all your heart, your soul and your might (strength). That means God wants you to give it all you got! So begin to work on that today. There may be a lot of reasons why you decided to Fast. But before we cover Gods Throne with our petitions and requests, let us cover His Throne with Love for being the Awesome God He is, with Praise and Worship for all He has done for us, and with Thanksgiving, for all that He is about to do. If you can believe it you can achieve it. Give God all the praise and all the glory at all times. It belongs to Him. Give it to Him with joy in your heart. Rejoice and Celebrate the Awesomeness of our God! As we enter into this Fast, let us also remember to worship Him. Just because we are praying and fasting, it doesnt mean that we cannot praise Him. We should wake up Praising Him, Praise Him throughout the day, and definitely Praise Him during your quality time with Him at night. Anytime is a good time, to Praise the Lord. Psalm 150:6 -- Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Have a wonderful day today, stay focused, stay well, stay blessed. Until tomorrow. God bless.
