Welcome to ROCKTOBER RULES - A Facebook community page designed to celebrate ROCKTOBER with a video music festival each year. We use youtube and other video sites. It works because everyone shares their favorites HOW IT WORKS.. Join by pressing the Like button at the top of the ROCKTOBER RULES page. You get to post ONE Video per day of your favorite Youtube - or other music vdeo - music clips We also get the odd Theme Day where you may get to post more than one There are only a three things we ask and they are just to keep it all fun 1. HAVE FUN and let others have fun too - Keep comments positive. Encourage each other and if you dont particularly like a video, just go find another one you do like and say encouraging things there - each to their moment 2. Keep it somewhat family friendly. No significant violence, horror or hate videos - there are young people on the page and so much good music around - it doesnt need to be negative. We do moderate the page - but we would rather enjoy your music! 3. Participate and Encourage your friends to join in - we have over 150 people in our group. The more the merrier - encourage friends with a love of music and positive attitude to join the page too! If in doubt, ask - send a message - were all here to enjoy. Hope to see you on the page! HOW TO TAKE PART --------------------- We each post one video a day - however we have lots of THEME Days where you get to post 1 - 3 videos - well let you know when they are on- they are great fun It is actually pretty easy when you get the hang of it To Watch others Videos --------------------- On the Rocktober Rules page under the title in the Centre you will see a Highlights button - click that to See posts by others To Post your favourite videos ----------------------- 1. The Easiest way to do this is to go to Youtube or Vevo or other video sites with a web browser like Internet Explorer or Chrome or Firefox 2. Choose the video you want to share 3. Go to the top of the browser and highlight the entire link, then copy (on Windows thats holding down the control button (cntl) and pressing the C key - on a mac it is Command - C 4. Then go to Facebook and hop on the ROCKTOBER RULES page - you can do this by typing Rocktober Rules into the search area where it says Search for people, places and things 5. Click under Post in the Write something space Write your story / note then paste the link by pressing cntl-V or on a mac, Command-V 6. Click Share or Post it doesnt matter if it doesnt work - if you have trouble - just send a note to us or put a comment on the page well get someone to help you
