The main purpose of this Group is to: Reminisce about the good old days and share stories of the good times, the amusing times and also the sad times Get in contact with old friends Make new friends with people who share a common background and a common love of Lusaka. Keep those people who have left, in touch with what is happening in the Lusaka today Joining the Group Membership of this group is open to those people who have lived in Lusaka for a period of three months or more. When asking to join, please ensure that your privacy settings are such that the Admins can see your Timeline. If you have not lived here and feel you have a special reason for joining the group, please message one of the Admins giving us your reasons. If you are a spammer and have come here to sell a product, please understand that we might not correctly identify you before approving your membership. But rest assured that we will block your membership as soon as you post your spam. Lastly, if you are only asking to join to see how many Zambian groups you can become a member of, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want to contribute positively to the debate and discussion of this group, then you are welcome. In order to keep this Group on an even keel, there are a few rules: No racism. And that includes making controversial postings and when challenged, accusing the challenger of racism. No partisan politics. There are many other groups on Facebook where you can show your support for the different political parties in Zambia. No text talk. Please respect other members of the group and take the time and effort to post your messages in full No foreign languages. This rule excludes the slang which was/is used in Zambia, be it in one of the local languages, Chikabanga or Afrikaans. However, it does include full postings in a foreign language which many of the members would not be able to understand Religion is a sensitive subject and always controversial. If you choose to enter into a debate on religion, please respect the religion and opinions of others. Postings advertising your products or services are not permitted without the prior authority of the Admins. This Group is not here to court controversy or for arguing. Definitely, members are invited to debate issues, but this should be done in a mature and fair manner, respecting the opinions of others and their right to disagree. Personal attacks made on other members are frowned upon and the Admins reserve the right to block any member who engages in personal attacks on other members. As a Lusaka group, we expect that most postings will relate to Lusaka. However, we do welcome, within reason, postings of a non- Lusaka nature provided they are pertinent at the time.
