Welcome to the wet n warm west coast winter... after this weeks winter storm temps across the north west climbed into the 50s and the snow has eeked up above 8000 feet, I decided to sleuth around the web... and I found this United Nations briefing on the Global Arctic Methane release that has accelerated global warming. Interesting are their predictions for expanded desertificaiton over the next decades and the suggestion that widespread use of biochar for sequestering atmospheric carbon as a potential remedy to thwart the release of 50-500 Gigatons of methane seeping out of the submerged siberian shelf.
