Well 2 am heavy rains.... I knew they were calling for it. I had mopped the floors anyways.. I listened.... heavy rain... so I get up turn off the breaker to the hot water heater and dryer, unplugged the washer, put up the baby gate to keep dogs out of the room that floods... went back to bed turned on tv looked at radar pretty heavy looking front moving through, looked at phone radar... uhmmm probably gonna flood.. well nothing I can do so I will just try to go back to sleep... Well.... didnt wanna get up but once awake had to check out how bad I flooded.... NOPE NO FLOOD ROOM DRY AS TOAST !!! WHHHHHOOOOOOO HHOOOOOOO went outside looked a rain guage cuz I am thinking maybe it sounded worse than it was... 5 inches of rain !! wow and that was in about an hour I would normally flood !!!!!! WWWWHHOOO HHOOOOOO I am sure that if we get like a tropical storm or one of those that just sit over top and the whole back yard floods I will probably take on water but at least maybe I got the basic thunderstorm flooding fixed !!! I am tired but a huge part of my mind is going whew..
