Well Fans and Family were all home now rested up and licking our wounds. Heres the hard truth of it. We just drew shortest straw DANG IT!!! When time came to draw time slots out of the hat we drew the dreaded 8pm (no ones at the club yet my wife just wont get her hair and outfit just right before 10pm) time slot. But in SGR fashion and with some Southern boy swagger we still put up a hell of a fight for all you Okies we represented. Although we did have one TX boy in the band with Wes Wallace so all was forgiven and we made it into the top 5 of 33 bands. But in the end we fell short to Ft Worth Favorites Volume Dealer who came out fighting and took the battle in the end. They were given the Headline sweat spot because they had a show at Tomcats just up the road and couldnt be there till they were done. Volume Dealer rolled in the door with the whole crowd they had just melted the faces off of on a stage at Tomcats just a few minute before. So all in all and Hind sight being 20/20 as they say. We went into a battle for Ride for Dime Dallas against all odds in TX by all TX bands but we did make some new friends and fans. All the bands were great. Creeper nearly brought the house down. The new singer of 100 % hate is a hell of a front-man and really impressed me you could of never told from his performance it was one of his first shows with the band. Bobzilla told me personally we did a great job he came downstairs to meet us after our set. Johni played his ass off as usual and as Johni and I walked up stairs to the green room Mike Luce Drowning Pool drummer got Johni to the side and told him he was impressed with Johnis drumming but arent we all. Wes gave it his all, man the guy can really play. So thanks to you for all those who backed us on this and for just getting the opportunity to do something this cool we are now part of the Ride for Dime family thanks to Warren and Rob. It was a lot of fun and a honor for us to get invited to be part of this in its 10th year. But I must confess it was a long ride back home. There is some good news though we did get invited to play the Ride for Dime pre-party at Robs new club details coming soon.
