Well. Folks. This has been quite a day. We were up at 3 am. We got back in bed and the phone rang. It was my stepson (Steve) relaying a message that Dons brother (Jerry) had passed away. Jerry we will miss your positive outlook on life. I knew no one that was more positive than he was. Our hearts are very sad at this loss. Had concern on my mind for my Don. He has had swelling in his left foot for quite awhile but it gradually started getting worse until it got all the way up into his leg and groin area. Had also developed what looked like blood coming to the surface of the skin on his shin bone. I couldnt get him to the doctor yesterday but made up my mind that we would try to get him in early today. By the grace of God we were able to get a 10 oclock appointment. We were sent to the hospital for an ultra sound. Looking for the obstruction of a blood clot. Well..Sure enough the proof was there. So they contacted the doctors office and we then were to go to the ER. Tests were run..We were afraid of an admit. Tests turned out fine. They did blood work trying to figure out how much thinner he would need as far as mg dosage. His md prescribed an extra dosage of his lasix. So by the grace of God...they gave him a blood oral thinner and sent us home with a script. He is totally exhausted and has been since we got home. His motivations are not good at all today. We covet your prayers...not only for Don and I but for the whole burchyett family. God has been and is still in control and I am so very thankful for His goodness. Thank you all in advance for your prayers...
