....Well Guys and Gals, we fought a good fight! MANY THANKS to each of you who made the CALLS and emails to our elected officials. This evening I feel a little tired...NOT DEAD, NOT DEFEATED and surely have NOT lost my will to FIGHT. PLEASE be sure and REMEMBER the Senators who voted NO on our bill, when it is time for you to vote YES to re-elect them!! However, .......HERE is the CURRENT info on bill S-308. The Restaurant Carry bill, S308, passed the House today. Because of you, the fee increase was removed! The penalty increase was removed! And the Nanny State curfew was removed! But we aren’t done yet. The following was provided by Palmetto Gun Rights about the Senate vote: "I don’t like guns. Period." That’s what state Senator John Scott said Thursday as he worked to kill our Restaurant Carry bill. That’s the sentiment of many of our Senators who worked against us today. But Republican State Senator Larry Martin joined with gun grabbing liberal Democrats John Scott, Gerald Malloy, Thomas McElveen and others to try to amend the bill and force it to a conference committee. In doing so, they ran out the clock and forced us to wait until January for the Senate to vote on this bill. We didn’t get this bill passed Thursday. Regular session has ended for the year. It’s a two year session, so in January 2014, S308 will still be on the calendar for consideration in the same place it is right now.
