Well I am all hot and sweaty thanks to wearing my winter boots as I was cleaning up the basement. You might ask why wearing winter boots ... well all because I have had little critters in our house over the past few weeks. I am trying to convince myself that they are all gone but then Mr. Alvin does his sniffing routine and scares me. He was doing that sniffing hunting thing by the washer and dryers. No where else. I looked behind (got brave from a distance) and didnt see anything. There is one of those walk in traps but the door is still open. Perhaps he smells the peanut butter (as he loves it) but I dont know. Then Mr. Alvin ran upstairs and wouldnt come down .... I should have followed him but then I heard him running around like a mad man .... gathering my courage I grabbed this lint thing (long handle with a sticky roller) and ran upstairs. I found Mr. Alvin sitting in the middle of the floor with a plastic door hanger and a couple of leaves (from some dead roses) in his mouth. So I do not know for sure if it was a m---e or just the plastic hanger that he had got and ran with as he likes to do. He has stayed by my side so I guess we are okay. As soon as I can ..... I am going to have someone remove the boards on the deck so that they can check the dryer vent ..... this is way to hard on my heart ..... I do know it is working. After about 50 trips up and down the steps hauling stuff up and out .... the basement is tidy. YAY. Now I am ready for a cup of coffee and a SHOWER. Happy Friday EVERYONE.
