Well I cant hold it in any longer . . . SOOOO excited to share that Ben and I purchased a lot last week and we will be building our first home! BUT thats not even the exciting part . . . heres the REALLY cool part . . . We will be just 3 DOORS DOWN from my sister Callie Collins and her family who are also building a house on the same street!!! AGHHH! This is a bit of a dream come true. My sister is my very best friend and I think you all know how close I am with my nieces. Plus Chad and Ben are like 2 peas-in-a-pod so . . . this is absolute perfection! As kids Callie and I basically grew up like twins because we are just 15 months apart. After HS we went to college together and were roomies all through college at SIU. The only time weve really lived apart in terms of any kind of distance was when I lived in Chicago for a few years after college . . . and even then I moved back home because she had her first baby and I couldnt stand to not be close to her! I see lots of dinners together and many more kids sleepovers in our future.
