Well, I do have to have surgery. All other avenues of treatment have been exhausted. So the MRI results showed that I have bone spurs on the lower part (L4/5) of my spine with a slipped disk that is pinching my sciatica nerve and that is why Im having so much pain mainly at night and mornings. Anyways the vertebrae is also badly eaten up with arthritis. So they will make an incision 3 to 4 long remove the vertebra and bone spurs and stabilize the area with pins, rods and at plate (fusion). Not sure yet when surgery will take place they will call with that info later. Im so looking forward to getting back to my life and so glad Im not on anymore steroids and can finally get this weight off that Ive gained due to all of this. Even if Im limited to only walking the treadmill at the gym then Ill walk a marathon every week until its back off...Im a tenacious one Ive been told :)
