Well I get a little disturbed when I hear people state that the reason why there are a lot of crimes in the black community is because of absent fathers. That is NOT the main reason for this dilemma. I know many people who were raised in a single parent home, and they dont have a criminal record. I know some no nonsense mothers that would go toe to toe with their sons and teach them right from wrong. Plus there are absent fathers in other ethnic groups. All black fathers are NOT running away from responsibility. There are people who were raised in two parent homes, and they end up with a criminal record. Everyone does what they do for a reason, and just because their father wasnt around is not a good excuse.
