Well I guess I might as well join in with this silly but - TopicsExpress

Well I guess I might as well join in with this silly but interesting game that is going around. Two people have given me ratings, so I took the average of the two. Here is my list. 1. I do not remember talking until I was five. The first words I remember saying was after watching what must have been a movie on the Korean Conflict. I remember going into the kitchen and asking my mother, “Mommy, what war will there be for me to fight in when I grow up?” I have never forgotten her replay. I wonder if she realized just how correct that she was. She said, “I don’t know honey, but I’m sure that there will be one.” 2. I have been in love with Queen Elisabeth II since I was a child. Long may she live. 3. I had a bad stutter until I was around 12. 4. When JFK was killed, I felt that America was now on the downward slope from being the greatest nation in the world. For a young boy, I was very smart I guess. I wish I had been wrong. 5. When I was in high school, I was investigated by The House Committee for Un-American Activities. Why? Because I was festinated with the Russian Revolution and the birth of the Soviet Union. Let me make this clear, I have never liked the Soviet Union and have suffered under the hands of the KGB. So I checked out and read any and all books I could find in my school, city, and state libraries that I could fine. I also took Russian in high school. I found out about the investigation and how the FBI had spied on me while I was in boot camp and was being interviewed for a job in the CIA or Naval Intelligence. 6. While I was not a popular kid in High School, I was well known. I started the first ever school walkout over an issue ever. Even had the local press cover it. Later, I tired to start a walkout and march over the Viet Nam war, but I did not receive any support and failed. 7. When I was in High School, I was friends, with some interesting people. I will mention two of them. The first was gay, though I only had a feeling that he was somehow different. I mention him because he grew up to be a Principle at a Salem school and may still be. On the other hand, he may have retired my now. I mention him because it must have been very hard to reach the position that he did being gay back then. We were both friends with another boy who was a devout Nazi. We were friends because I liked to debate things with him. I could not understand how he could like Hitler, and hate Jews and other races. We always agreed to disagree, but the debates were interesting. I bring him up, Brett Jones, because of one fact. When he was in college, he became head of the American Nazi Party for Oregon. He was killed in a hit-and-run and the person responsible was never caught. From what I could find out, it appears that both the local and State Police did not really try to find him. While I hated his political views, as a soldier, we serve and fight to give people the right to say what they want in a free country. This should never have happened to him. 8. I have killed more people than I can remember. However, I still have nightmares about a woman and her young daughter that were most likely sent to a Siberian Labor camp, where most likely they both died. I let my guard down and tried to do a favor for the woman. A rookie mistake will haunt me the rest of my live. 9. I have traveled all but around 1,200 miles around the world and lived in many countries. 10. With ten days left to go in the regular Navy, I was recruited into one of our Intelligence agencies. I worked both full and part time for them over 35 years. 11. Like many Viet Nam veterans, I have been married a number of times. I was responsible for at least 50% of the breakups. Well, I guess I must have had a hand in them all. After all, a woman wouldn’t fall out of love with me unless I did something wrong. 12. I am a very shy and private person, and prefer to be alone or with my wife (when I have one) most of the time. 13. I have very few friends anymore. Many have died the rest I have lost touch with. That is why my close friends on Facebook are so important to me. I don’t want to lose touch with them also. 14. As many know, I will be getting married to a Chinese national and will stay and live with her until she may leave the country. I have always found Asian, Persian and English women the most attractive in the world. What no one knows is that the idea of marring someone from first came to me when I decided that I wanted to help someone escape China. My thought was that I could get her out of the country and that I would most likely die within five years and she could then start her life here for real. What I did not count on was finding a woman who I am madly in love with, and while it took some time for me to believe it, but she also is madly in love with me. I want to spend 20 plus years with her and have changed much of my lifestyle to help make that happen. 15. I have paid my taxes every year, served more than my fair share of time fighting / helping protect this country to prove that I am proud to be an American. That being said, if I could move to Canada or Great Britain I would in a heartbeat. However, I can’t for a number of reasons. Most of them have to do with the security clearance that I still have.
