Well I had a productive day at the Aboriginal Entrepreneurs Conference and Tradeshow. I had individual meetings with Seaspan Vancouver Shipyards, ESS Support Services, Finland Trade Centre, BDC Aboriginal Banking and SNC Lavalin. One of my favourite workshops was on how to effectively use social media for my business. Tomorrow night, I have an individual meeting with Indigenous.net who is going to help me set up a business twitter account and Facebook page as well as teach me how to use Linkedin etc. Did you know that there are 36,000 Aboriginal businesses across Canada? Did you know that by 2016, Aboriginal businesses will be contributing $13 B to the Canadian Economy? If you ever thought of starting a business, now is the time.
