Well, I hate to say it folks, but it looks like we arent going to be keeping our place in LAmable. We just received our tax notice and with assessment adjustments, our annual tax bill for having the privilege of living in Bancroft is $8212.84 or $684.40/month. We dont receive any services and we bring our own garbage to the dump. Our taxes are almost as high as our mortgage payment. This is not a sustainable situation for us, considering our before agricultural adjustment for the farm in Campbellford is a third of our taxes in LAmable. I am not sure how people can afford to live in this municipality. It is such a shame.
