Well, I have news my peps. For a long time now I have been losing the battle of the bulge. Call it age or the meds, but I am here to tell you I am to have a procedure done. I will be having a Gastric Sleeve Surgery performed on me. This will occur in March sometime. They will remove approx. 3/4 of my stomach so that I am eating less and feeling full. Like it to your stomach going from a size of a footy down to the size of a banana. So there goes my chance to enter the Guiness Word Records for Eating all you can at a buffet. In turn this will mean helping me reduce my weight and regaining my health. Seems drastic I know, but I need it and I need to be around for my kids. I wasnt one of the easiest decision I have had to make, I have put a lot of thought and research in consultation with my MO. So as of this Friday it will be bye bye Durries for ever. The out come of the operation will be I will reduce my weight in the area of between 20 - 40 kgs. Combine this with healthy eating and gym, yes I know a lot of you will laugh at me going to the gym again. I know where it is but I cannot spell it. So I will keep you all informed if you care, on the pre and post progress. I intend to do the before and after pics as well for posterity.
