Well... I have this little lavender orpington named Lucy. She is as sweet as can be. Lets my son pick her up, carry her around, and sits in my lap and does what I call the chicken purr. She has only laid me two eggs since I got her around the middle of July or so. I took them some mashed taters, which I normally dont feed them kitchen scraps. She chowed down bigtime! Her beak was covered in taters, her little face looked like Santa Claus with her mashed taters beard, lol. The very next day she laid me an egg! I really think it was the taters that did it! Has anyone else had a similar experience? Shes been holding out for the good stuff, I suppose!
