Well, I just had about the most relaxing weekend of my life, even more relaxing than a beach vacation. No sand in my shoes, didnt have to change to go to dinner, I did absolutely nothing. Doctors orders. I had some minor surgery last Thursday involving a hernia above my naval, a cute little thing smaller than half a golfball which made my naval look like it had a uvula. There was no pain involved. I dont even know how I got it. One day I got out of the shower, looked in the mirror and there it was. Fast forward to last Thursday and as some of you know, when youre abdominal muscles are cut, theres a lot thats difficult to do. It hurts to cough, to clear your throat, to laugh and for Gods sake dont sneeze, not to mention the acts of sitting down or getting up. But most of the time youre not doing any of those things and you feel fine and ... youre on pain pills AND the doctor says you cant drive or lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk. I effectively had a prescription to be a slug and took full advantage. On Saturday I could have blown some leaves but that things heavier than a gallon of milk. Ditto for a vacuum cleaner. Today, I could be shoveling snow but its a heavy, wet snow, so guess what? I might take pictures of it. I quit the pain pills on Saturday and then Sunday, with all that football on I suddenly remembered that a can of beer weighs less than a gallon of milk and I finally got busy doing something but not to worry, it was a labor of love. Today I feel 90% back to normal but my stomach area might gross people out on a beach. Its hard to explain and Im not including photos but my naval looks ANGRY, kind of like a wide open sharks mouth minus the teeth so i guess Ill be putting off my Playgirl spread yet again. The decision now is whether or not to do a podcast today. To pull that off Id have to carry this laptop downstairs and Im not sure if it weighs more than a gallon of milk, you know, with the battery and cord and all that.....
