Well, I showed all of the speakers who presented at the Disparities in Health in America: Working Toward Social Justice Workshop. I guess I should show you a few pictures of the participants. The consensus was that this was one of the best group of trainees to attend the workshop in terms how attentive they were to the presentations and the resulting numbers of well thought out questions they asked. Did I mention that over half of the students were from HBCUs or classified as underrepresented minorities. Someone said to me that if they had been up to no good the coverage would have been overwhelming. However, as someone else said, thanks to social media, meeting such as these can not go unnoticed. These were some of the brightest students we have had attend the workshop. It would have been an excellent recruiting ground for institutions in the neighborhood looking for those hard to find qualified students in STEM :-) :-).
