Well, I survived my first audition and am on my way home! My presentation went WAY better than I expected it to and in hindsight; I realize I was being a lot harder on myself than I needed to be. (I started the day off by stressing myself out to the point of tears. Twice. Thankfully I brought my eyeliner with me and was able to talk to Mari... she was able to talk some sense into me). I think the main reason I was freaking out so bad is because I REALLY want this and that definitely puts the pressure on to perform to their level of expectation/ quality, but I MADE IT and now I have a LOT of work to do over the next 6 weeks. I know the areas I need to work on and am confident that I can perfect those skills by February 23rd, but Im going to need help from all of you!! To my NATIONAL EDUCATOR FRIENDS: I need to shadow 5 classes before my final audition. Im willing to drive as far as Merrillville or Grand Rapids (even Chicago if I have to). If any of you know of classes coming up that I could shadow, please let me know asap (Im pretty sure they need to be for the areas Ill be teaching). TO ALL OF MY OTHER FRIENDS: I need models!!! I have 7 SPECIFIC looks that I need to master and will need a live model for my final audition in Lombard, IL on Monday February 23rd, 2015. If youre interested, please message me asap! I need men AND women! Thank you! :)
