Well I wanted a rest and my wish was granted, but I would like to take it back. This afternoon I was taking load after load of mulch on the back of the ride on mower to a steep section of the block, which I have done many times before. Unfortunately, and the details are not clear in my mind, when I was coming back down the hill to get another load the mower accelerated when ordinarily it would decelerate when the foot is full on the pedal. I dont know what happened but when I couldnt slow it down, in a panic I did the worst thing possible and turned my foot in the reverse position making it accelerate further. I was hiking down the hill when I screamed out to Jason. I still dont know how on earth I managed it but threw myself off the mower, watching it continue going through the garden and later finding out it broke through the small gazebo, which it thankfully appeared to stop it. OMG, I could imagine it continue down the rest of the hill. Thank my lucky stars I managed to get off it in time and that I kept it straight. I dont want to think about where I would be right now if I hadnt done that. So my Open a Garden preparation came to a halt this afternoon with my knee and ankle iced, compression bandage and elevated. Im hoping I can walk tomorrow or at least over the weekend. In the meantime Im writing up plant labels and Im guessing Jason will have fun tomorrow putting them out. I cant guarantee the label will match the plant :) All I can say is that someone was looking out for me today. Be careful what you wish for because it may come true and not in the way you expected.
