Well...I went to look for the home of a friend in the Lake Jordon Housing area in Dinwiddie County and as I rode through looking at the beautiful homes I was approached by a man in a grey jeep type vehicle flashing his lights for me to stop. I figured it was someone I knew so I stopped and he looked at me and said "you got a problem being in this neighborhood or something?" I replied no I was just riding through looking for a friends house and he said " why you riding by my house...you the police or something?" I am a born citizen of Dinwiddie County and have so many wonderful friends here. I have never been ugly to anyone and would never be ugly but this man made me feel afraid and I was very offended by his extremely nasty attitude. I was doing absolutely nothing wrong and do not feel that is appropriate behavior and would certainly cause the anyone from wanting to live there. As I went on I saw several other people that waved with a smile and that says welcome to the neighborhood. I believe ignorance was the cause of this ugliness and refuse to be intimidated in the county I was born and raised in. It does not pay to display a hatred because one day that individual may need the very one they were so ugly too! Also, it is not a gated community and this individual will probably see a lot more of me passing his house...which ever one it is because I work for the county. Have a great day!
