Well I went to my Dr again today. Im starting my 3 course of prednisone for the breathing. Dr says I probably have pneumonia but she cant hear because I have wheezing throughout all parts of my lungs. Im starting a 2nd course of antibiotics. This time a tier 3 antibiotic. Im grateful that I have health insurance and money to pay for medicines. So many people who deserve it just as much as I do cannot do the same. In my work today at WFWA I learned about the Virginia Garcia clinic. I saw a case that was referred there for medical assistance. I saw in the notes that there was an approximate 1,000 people already on the wait list for medical care and that it can take 9 months to a year to receive medical attention. Can you imagine that? Wow! So tonight I come home to do a little bit of reading about this place. To provide high-quality, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate primary health care to the communities of Washington and Yamhill Counties with a special emphasis on migrant and seasonal farmworkers and others with barriers to receiving healthcare Sad, so sad. Im not saying anything negative about the people at Garcia. How sad it must be for them to have deep compassion and care and to have to have people need to wait that long for care. So I close my eyes with a deep sense of gratitude. I always try to start my day with gratitude. Tonight I will end my day with it as well. In love and light,
