Well, Im on to the next round of offensives. Reality is painful, but underpinnings must.be.exposed. they just must. Ignoring them does NOT deprive them of power. It simply does not. Keeping them hidden does to stop the pain. Being nice does not mean ignoring wounds, not speaking of atrocities. If so, then it seems to me that being nice also means being irResponsAble. Calling Mr. C a jerk is not enough. Patronizing our idolization of others is not enough (get that? Its tricky). To do so actually perpetuates that which we think we are challenging. (Also tricky). Love and platitudes are not enough. Action is a must. We cannot honor and appropriately regard that which we dont understand. And to understand it we must investigate and dig deep. When we have a decent understanding of the playing field, we can better focus our intentions and our actions. Of course all of this is mute if there isnt an interest. Garnering interest may requier sensationalism. We all have our own methods and I love this- It is the responsibility of the poet to listen to gossip and pass it on. ~ Hazel~
