Hey Y’all! Our very own Winston Sanks has presented us with an awesome opportunity! On April 24th, there will be a Physics is Phun show at Jack Swigert Academy, and they would like our assistance in this event! It will take place from 0700 to 1500. I don’t know if any of you have ever helped out with one of these events, but they are pretty awesome from what I hear! (And if you have good experiences with it, please share!) Below is a description of the event. Students from the elementary school will be given the opportunity to have a quick Q&A session with a few astronauts to ignite the initial spark of interest in STEM. Following their Q&A session, the students will break up into group to experience some awesome physics experiments that will hopefully ignite the fire of inspiration to study STEM in their bright futures! There are several groups from USAFA participating…USAFA CW STEM, CS-08, the Aero Department, the Engr Mech Department, and the physics department. There will be experiments from each of the departments/units participating. They are asking us for our assistance to help in the demonstrations! We would love to help them, and this would really help get our name out there so we can start really helping out around the Cadet Wing! If youre interested, just comment!
