Well, Im so happy to report that we made it to the farm with no mishaps! (Almost, if the following is taken into consideration). We made our usual stop at Braums, then crossed over I30 to Walgreens to get something Mr CL thought he needed. When we left there, we went north on Broadway that turned into 154 somewhere. We went thru downtown Sulphur Springs, & I looked for the mirrored toilets Ive heard about, but it was too dark to spot them just passing thru. There was a crowd down on the square by the courthouse. Not sure what was going on, but didnt take time to check it out. Nice little town from what we could see in the dark. Farther north & out of town somewhere we ran into Hwy 19. The road straight ahead looked dark & lonely so we decided to get back on I30 when we saw the sign pointing the way. Hubby said he was afraid to try a new route to the farm in the dark on unfamiliar roads. Whew! I was happy to hear that. I told him we could go home the different route Sunday when it is daylight. Its a route my nephew swears is faster than going to Mt Vernon to get on I30. So Jimmy Lu....we will go your way on Sunday!! Upon arriving & getting our groceries & belongings, I noticed the freezer door on frig was slightly ajar & ice cream was turned over in freezer with lid partially opened. Yes...you guessed it! It had melted (along with meats & other goods). But the ice cream had run down the frig onto the floor & had mold on the mess in the floor. I groaned & hollered for my hubby to come quick!! Hes so efficient!! He has gotten it all cleaned up & taken the ruined stuff out to garbage. He even mopped the entire kitchen floor. What a great wife he would make! Hes is definitely a keeper! We do need a new refrigerator with doors that close tightly. Or maybe we need to quit packing the freezer so full the door wont shut good!! In the meantime, I have my PJs on, have taken my nightly meds, in bed and ready to watch TV awhile before the sandman comes. This starts our weekend at the farm. Will let you know (maybe) if we have anymore mishaps. With the two of us....one never knows whats in store. Good night all! Hope all of you have s great weekend! :)
