Well Its that time once again (finally) to tell you my opinion on some movies and I have three of them this time around. The two from the 12th were Free Birds and Thor:The Dark World and the third is About Time which was just watched on the 19th. I have officially watched everything at the theatre right now. Well that is until tonight when Catching Fire comes out. So the first movie was Free Birds at 6:30pm starring Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson, Amy Poehler, and the one and only George Takei as the voice of S.T.E.V.E. This movie was actually funnier than I thought it would be. There were a few slow parts but nothing to make me dislike it too much. All the characters were enjoyable to watch but I would have to say the funniest character was S.T.E.V.E. He wasnt really in the movie that much though. Now for the storyline I wasnt much of a fan of. With time travel its hard to make the story make sense and I feel they failed in that but it is a kids movie I suppose. Even though it didnt make sense it was a little obvious as well that Im sure a kid would pick up on too. There wasnt really anything special with the 3D in this movie either. I really liked the replacement for turkeys. Very good choice. Im hoping they come out with a sequel that blows all current animated movies out of the water. I see potential.----7.5/10 The second movie was Thor:The Dark World at 10pm starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tom Hiddleston. I never have been a fan of Thor and still have not watched the very first one but I must say this movie was better than I anticipated. The visual effects were amazing especially when they are in Asgard and the 3D was satisfying. The acting was all top notch. I was really impressed with Anthony Hopkins which I usually am but this time I didnt even know he was in the movie until the credits. All the action was really good but I felt there should have been more. I really liked the cameo of a certain Marvel character that I will keep nameless and would have to say it was the funniest part of the movie. Do I like Thor now? Not really but this was a pretty good movie.----8/10 Now for the third review which is on About Time starring Domhnall Gleeson, Rachel McAdams, Bill Nighy. When I first got my ticket for this movie I figured I was in for a chic flic which I did not mind cause it was about time travel and Bill Nighy is in it and with him in a movie you never lose. The funny thing is I would not consider this as a chic flic at all. It was a very realistic movie about a normal life with a time travel edge to it. Sure it was about a guy looking for his true love but it did not take him long to find her and once he did there was no unnecessary romance that unfortunately just does not happen these days in real life. In fact in the first year they are together(you know the time when you are joined at the hip) it was fast forwarded but was still able to show how much they really loved each other and how it big it grew during that time. I feel that it did suffer from some story gaps but nothing too horrible. The acting was awesome and Bill Nighy is still one of the great ones. Now just because I said this was not a chic flic in my opinion does not mean it is not a sad movie because I am pretty sure this movie will hit everyones heartstrings that watch it.----9/10 The next review will be on 12 Years A Slave starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael K. Williams, and Michael Fassbender. After that it will be Delivery man starring Vince Vaughn.
