Well, Jake has officially made it thru the hardest week of his academy (in his mind) with flying colors. This week was his D.T. week in the academy with 40+ others for the Sheriffs dept to be a D.O. Yesterday was his test day where he had to demonstrate what he had learned & had to square off against other future D.Os. After Jake made 3 different guys quickly tap out, they had no one else to put him against that would be competitive, so he quickly passed this part of the academy & the instructors brought in for this part of the training told him hed have no problem going forward & had him working & helping others get ready for their testing yesterday...and he was worried or concerned for this part of the academy. 2 more weeks to go... Both the MMA & Jujitsu instructors were said to be highly impressed with how quickly he picked up on things & exceeded their expectations. Jake said hes considering going ahead & continuing training in jujitsu after the academy for his future career paths...said it was actually quite fun even though he came home sore each night.
