Well, Joji ended up have the cyst drained, scaring around the brainstem removed, and a duraplasty. He is on steroids to prevent chemical meningitis, sedation to help ease him into waking up, the hospital is trying to cut down on PTSD, morphine, and his wound area is numbed. He is moving all extremities and breathing, the nurse told us she was having trouble keeping him from jumping from the bed, we did not see this. He is still in pain when the pain meds wear off even with all the things they are doing for him, but when he is not he is resting comfortably. He has only opened his eyes a couple of times, so we arent sure of all of his capabilities yet. The neurosurgeon said his swallowing nerves were tightly compressed, as was all of his nerves to his upper and lower extremities. The hope is this will help him. You know what though even with all that going on Joji kept going on, hes such a tough guy. Hes stable and resting, daddy is at the hospital trying to help me get some with the pregnancy. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
