Well Mercedes Benz SA has a bit of a dilemma. They tested the chassis of the vehicle yesterday and one of the test points repeatedly failed the chassis test. It eventually passed but they are now going to bring in some other equipment more advanced to test this chassis as they are not happy with the current result. They are very unhappy about the mechanical state of the vehicle and it hs now developed an oil leak which has soaked the main engine mounting. Rubber and oil do not mix so now we have an oil leak and a damaged engine mounting to add to the other failures. Added to this Mercedes Benz SA are very unhappy about the fitment of the panels on the vehicle. The gaps left side and right side between panels are way out of acceptability according to them. This includes the bonnet. They are disgusted to say the least that this vehicle came out of one of most the hi tech robot facilities in Germany, not to mention the dents on the roof in multiple place which also emanate from the manufacturing process. Do not know what they intend to do now. Could be interesting. It places me at a serious disadvantage if I try and sell this vehicle.
