Well, Pete, here we are again, waiting. Ive got some time on my hands now, Pete so I thought Id pop a question or two your way. Just to kill some time, Pete. I know you already know how to kill time, Pete, but me, well I havent mastered it as you have. Did you fall asleep in history class, Pete? I sure did, the only thing that brought me to is my forehead smacking into my desk top. (A real desk top, Pete, didnt have computers back in the day, did we Pete?). I think it took me until about Grade 6 to figure out that history like eating an onion, tends to repeat itself. Ever noticed that, Pete? I thought History was a useless subject because nobody seemed to learn from it. Insane, right, Pete? So here I am, killing time waiting and my mind takes on a life of its own and starts wandering about in a dum, de, dum kind of way. And all of a sudden it dawns on me, Pete - must have sneaked at some point when I was in a semi conscious state all those years ago - social change has historically come about when a group of people have nothing to lose, Pete! Nothing left to lose! If they have something to lose, like our teachers do, the powers that be can still control a situation somewhat, but Pete, when you overlook an even larger group with nothing to lose in the process it is a really big mistake, Pete. Ill leave that with you, Pete. Roll it around under that grey hair of yours until it dawns on you, Pete. In going after 40,000 teachers you forgot about the hundreds of thousands of parents who have nothing to lose by holding the line for Public Education! Dum, de, dum! Think you might be in a heap of trouble there, Pete!
