Well. This is getting real. For a Grand Jury to not return an indictment is incredibly rare. In 2010, a grand jury was called to decide on an indictment 160,000 times. It only failed to return an indictment 11 times. That is an EXCEEDINGLY small percentage. Grand Juries are almost formalities. Im not a lawyer or a legal scholar, obviously, but it seems to me like the threshold for probable cause was so damn low that it should have been all but assured that he would at least be charged with SOMETHING. Personally, I think that the evidence would not have supported a murder charge, but thats not for a grand jury to decide. The Grand Jurys single job is determine whether there is probable cause. I cant fathom a grand jury in this situation saying nope, everything was above board and fine. nothing to see here, which is what just happened. Bamboozled.
