Well.....Today is the first day of School!! and for some Kids its a great day to be going back and seeing their friends and getting started with the new teachers and school year...Its also a day that some are very anxious about just what the new year will start for them...meaning some go to school very upset that what should be a very exciting time for them could easily turn into a horrific day for them, some kids go to school and its one of the best days ever but to some they worry about being treated different,some get picked on,Bullied and treated like outsiders and it saddens me!! All some kids want is to be treated like every other kid and want more than anything to be What some call Normal .....but because NO two kids are the same and some are a little different, they get treated like a joke by many who think it is cool to pick on the kid that tries to fit in the best they know how.....Im not saying this is true about all kids!!! But they are those that feel the need to pick and bully others.....Parents....I ask that you please talk to your kids about bulling and picking and going along with others who do it....Make your kids understand that just because someone is a little different or may not be their kind of cool is not a reason to treat them like they dont belong!! or call them names or make them feel less of a person!! I remember My Dad used to say If you have nothing good to say, say Nothing at all!! and treat others the way you want them to treat you!! Lets all make an effort to teach our kids that No matter what, whether it be that some kids dont have as much as some or how different some are....they still have feelings and whether they show them at school or not, it effects them greatly!!
